Can't believe it, but in the past 3 months, I've lost 35 pounds! And the craziest part, is that is was super easy. I barely exercised. It's amazing what switching to a very organic, paleo, ketogenic natural diet will do to you. However, the magic fat pill for me........ (drumroll please....). And it's been quite the revelation (nothing has ever really worked for me)... I'm not a very health conscious person (ok, never, you got me)...... I'm a musician. We stay up late, drink too much, and eat fast food...... Just kidding.. (but it's true). Maybe it's because I have a son now, but I'm thinking alot more about my body and taking my health seriously.
SO, the magic "fat pill" for me was intermittent fasting. That sounds dramatic, but it's really just skipping breakfast. Total, it's 16 hours of fasting, and 8 hours of eating. Doesn't sound so hard right? I stop eating at 8pm at night, and don't eat the next day until 12pm. I mixed it in with light exercise (2 - 3 days a week at most), and the fat just melted off. 35 in 3 months. Not too bad.
I NOW HAVE MORE:
1) Energy & vitality
2) Mental Clarity
3) Confidence
4) Motivation
5) Happiness
6) Physical ability
All things that are very important being a musician and maintaining the creative flow. If you want to truly master something, you need to master yourself first. I realize this now. It's not about looking good (I mean kinda)... But i'm starting to find it's more about empowerment and taking control.
Funny enough when I told people how much weight I lost, they were like "but you have nothing to lose"........? Surprising I know. However, I'm what's called "skinny fat", and I hid it really well. Not a good look folks!
So, if YOU are looking to get healthy, this was a revelation for me. Intermittent fasting and ketogenic diet. That's it. Hope this helps someone today :)
