WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
IN my DRUMMING LESSONS
PLAY YOUR FAVORITE SONGS
Learn how to play your favorite songs from your favorite bands. This is a great way to light the fire of passion for music. Matt believes strongly that this is the best way to not only learn music, but hear music, and keep the passion going. Matt also has a recommended songlist from beginner to advanced.
HOW TO READ MUSIC
Learning how to read music is fundamental to being a good musician. It's like learning a new language. You won't perfect the language if you don't learn it. It also allows the student to learn more in their own time and exponentially improve their vocabulary for music.
HOW TO PLAY IN TIME
If you want to be a great drummer, you need to know how to play with good time keeping skills. Through training with Matt you will learn all about the metronome and will regularly practice with different tempos and time signatures.
HOW TO PLAY WITH GOOD TECHNIQUE
Good technique is crucial to being a good musician. Your abilities to play are only limited by your capacity to understand and exhibit good playing technique. It is also used for safety reasons as playing drums is very physical and playing wrong can lead to tendonitis and other physical ailments.

Matt has patience abound with beginner drummers and puts you totally at ease. Any self consciousness was lost and I was playing along to a track at the end of the first lesson. Within a few lessons I’m able to play along to certain songs (not perfect but from a complete beginner at the age of 60, well enough to put a smile on my face)
If anyone is looking for an enjoyable challenge to play an instrument, at any age, I thoroughly recommend lessons with Matt. You won’t be disappointed.
